Canobolas Rural Technology High School is a partner school in the NSW Government's High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) program, which involves significant upgrades to facilities to expand learning opportunities for high-potential students. These upgrades will include improvements to science and technology labs, creative and performing arts spaces, and sporting facilities. While specific programs are still being rolled out, the school is committed to providing a challenging and supportive environment to help students achieve their potential in various domains.

• The NSW Government is investing in HPGE by upgrading 33 high schools, including Canobolas Rural Technology High School.
• This investment aims to broaden educational opportunities and accommodate more students to deliver tailored HPGE offerings.

What is high potential and gifted education?

High potential and gifted education (HPGE) is how our school supports students with advanced learning needs.

We do this through:

• effective teaching strategies like enrichment, extension and acceleration

• tailored support during lessons that stretch, challenge and inspire

• access to a wide range of opportunities both within and beyond our school.
